Two in a row...

Hey, I'm back... Two days in a row.
I've had a very busy weekend. Two of my grandsons spent Friday night, as usual. Sent them home with their dad on Saturday morning and took off to Waco with my parents and siblings (and 3-year-old nephew). We went to the 50th Anniversary reception for some very close family friends. I wasn't really sure I wanted to go, but I didn't have anything else planned, and I thought it might be fun for the 5 of us to do something together. I forgot what a long drive is like -- 2 1/2 hours one way, two hours at the party, then the trip home. I was worn smooth out by the time I got home. In spite of that, when your 6-year-old grandson calls to see if he can come and spend the night again, it's pretty hard to say no.
So, he spent Saturday night with us. He's no trouble at all away. He goes to sleep early. I was ready for sleep, but then my husband kept waking me up. He's about over the flu, but 2 weeks or more into an ear infection that doesn't seem to want to let go. He was feeling really weird all night. About the 3rd time he woke me up, I looked up the symptoms for low blood sugar and finally got him to drink some KoolAid. He finally went to sleep.
Fitful sleep after all that riding resulted in a headache today. And a weird one at that -- very localized, radiating for a specific spot right over my right eyebrow. Grandson number two came over for a little bit while their parents went to buy groceries (wish I'd had parents close by when I had two little ones -- going to the store with them was crazy). The baby was in a great mood and we took a little nap together.
After they went home, we rested for a little until grandson number 3 and his dad came over. What a sweet little boy, all smiles. Not yet four months old, so sweet. Jabbers and giggles all the time. My parents had been complaining that they don't get to see him enough, so we took him over there. He was very animated with them (after he woke up from a nap), giggling and gooing and generally being irresistible.
Finally got back home, and finished up some web-site maintenance for the theatre's page. And posted some theatre info on facebook. Then drafted and sent an email notice. And so, here I am blogging. See? Very busy. Got nothing done.
I always put time with my baby boys at the top of my priorities You know what they say "Babies don't keep." They are growing so fast, it is un-frickin-believable. Tomorrow is President's Day and I have the day off. I'll sleep then!
